Green forest fire notification in Brazil
On 26/09/2026, a forest fire started in Brazil, until 02/10/2026.
A confirmed forest fire is burning in parts of Brazil between late September and early October. This is a moderate event, and officials are working to manage the situation and keep people safe.
What is a wildfire? A wildfire is an unplanned fire that burns through natural areas like forests or grasslands. They often start during dry weather when heat or lightning ignites parched plants and leaves. Strong winds can then help the flames spread quickly across the landscape, making them difficult for firefighters to control.
If you are nearby, keep your windows closed to block out smoke and always follow instructions from local emergency services.
